I concepted and designed this motion graphics piece to display the skills and abilities of Axiom. The greatest challenge of this project was balancing brand management with an interesting design. After a couple rounds of storyboards I was able to come up with something that balanced the two components.

These pieces are a part of an explanatory presentation on managing water hydraulics. With this project I worked with a Scientist to create an interesting and easily understood presentation that he could then use to explain his work. The idea is that using a combination of natural and artificial means the fertilizer-saturated runoff from farm fields is filtered through the ground as much as possible. At the same time the water level in the fields is kept at a more constant level.

This is some of the graphic design work from my typography class. As you can see much of the work is centered around title design and mastering the fundamentals of text manipulation. However, I did practice some of the rarer but more fun aspects of graphic design in designing and redesigning some logos and text art. All of the work was done in Adobe Illustrator and though it was the only true graphic design class I had the design principles and techniques are things I continue to use and expand upon.

The Garezers 50th anniversary project began as a client based class project, however the scope of the project ended up being far larger than anticipated. The result was that me and the members of the group I was working on it with continued to work on the project for the next 3 months after the class ended. The project consisted of creating six animated pieces and a CG map to be used as flash backs and transitions for a documentary celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the Garezers Latvian Center (a Latvian summer camp located in Michigan).

Kristine is a very reclusive fairy that is devoted to evrything staying exactly as it is. One day an unusually persistent winter forces her to confront her fear and learn to except that the world does and must change.
This character is one that I started working on in a character design class but have continued to refine since then. Some time in the near future I hope to make a second maquet (a maquet is a small clay sculpture of a character) and then perhaps one day I will make an animation to go with the design.

This is a collection of my miscellaneous illustration work. As can be seen in many of the panels I particularly like to draw people dancing. I believe this stems partly from my great love of dance.
